2nd last week of foundation term passed.
In this week itself was enough to stress me out.
Firstly, i feel that i'm proud to announce that i'm ranked 8th overall in Bravo company! For a recourse personnel, i think i want to boast a bit! Hahahaha.. and it earned me a selection for OCS crossover. I was one of the three selected. We rehearsed and revised as preparations for the 1st interview. Sadly, i made it to the interview but i did not earn a 2nd interview while the other 2 did. My peer appraisal wasn't strong enough.. i guess it all comes down to sleeping in the overflow bunk and i did not get to interact with my other section mates much. Nonetheless, i'm very thankful for this opportunity and experience and knowing that my commanders really see something and believing in me.
Secondly, the vocation 'Air Defence Weapon Specialist' was something i hoped for back awhile ago because of where the camp is situated at. Here's the thing, they had the selection for the interview the other day and i was not one of the candidates. Pretty sad, but i was determined and i requested my sergeant to bring me in for the interview to express interest. In the end, they took down my particulars. Later on, i got to know that i'm selected for a special unit as an infantry recce. I was then told my security clearance was high to be selected for this highly classified unit. After much research and advices, most of them were a 'good-to-go' but in my heart i fear for my body. I don't have a very strong back.. but i'll see what it is on Monday when the interview commence..
Right now, looking forward to my posting and my last week of foundation term. It has been a fruitful journey to be honest..
